Staff Accountant (Client Accounting & Advisory Services)


Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office)
Position Type: Direct Hire (Full-Time or Part-Time Options Available)
Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)


About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting experience, excellent Excel skills, and a desire to grow their career in a collaborative and client-focused environment. We are committed to training and developing our team members for long-term success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients
  • Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Support outsourced CFO-level services, assisting with financial insights and reporting
  • Communicate directly with clients to:
    • Request and track necessary financial information
    • Answer accounting-related questions
    • Research and resolve inquiries
  • Troubleshoot issues within accounting systems and recommend improvements
  • Assist with accounting software implementations (a plus)
  • Process payroll (preferred, not required)
  • Contribute to meeting deadlines across multiple client deliverables

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
    • Experience across multiple industries is a plus
  • Education:
    • Degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong Excel skills required
    • Experience with QuickBooks Online required/preferred
    • Exposure to accounting tech, automation, or AI tools/agents is a plus
  • Other Requirements:
    • Stable work history (no frequent job changes)
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
